Our annual gathering is (hopefully) back again! This year we’ll be heading to the Northern Cairngorms basing ourselves at Badaguish Outdoor Centre for the weekend.
It will take place on Friday 8th – Sunday 10th October 2021.

About the Weekend
The annual gathering is our main event of the year where we get together to chat, visit local projects and hear from different speakers. It’s open to members and non-members alike but this year we are limiting numbers so be sure to book early.
You can choose to attend either days or the whole weekend and stay on site in a range of accommodation.
Speakers and Events
The full line up of speakers and events is still being finalised but will include the following:
Friday
Buildings Tour in the afternoon around the local area
From 6pm: Welcome, icebreaker, soapbox and evening meal
Saturday
There will be a range of local site and project visits to choose from, as well as foraging walks and craft sessions. Some will require transport, others will be based at the centre.
After an evening meal we will welcome speakers for evening talks and then time to chat, with some live music (bring your instruments!)
Sunday
After breakfast there will be a series of talks to choose from, followed by different workshops based around RS projects.
A leisurely late lunch closes the weekend but groups may choose an afternoon walk if they have time.
Accommodation and Facilities
Badaguish Outdoor Centre is well equipped with different accommodation options. We have available to book several rooms in lodges, wigwam pods and plenty of camping space. Check the Badaguish website for photos and more details of their facilities. Campervans are not permitted to stay on site, but there are nearby parking areas to stay overnight and a site at Glenmore.
The weekend is fully catered and the food is always a focal point of the gatherings! All meals will be vegetarian and there will be vegan options available. For other dietary requirements, please let us know.
Covid-19
We really hope that the gathering can go ahead this year but if the Covid situation changes then we have to accept we may need to cancel the gathering. If this is the case you will be notified and a full refund will be given.
We will ensure that Covid safety measures are in place for the weekend as per the current government guidelines at the time. We will communicate these to all ticket holders prior to the weekend. You may cancel at any time and receive a refund if you cannot make it, up to 1 week prior to the weekend.
