The Annual Gathering is the best chance each year to meet Reforesting Scotland’s members, take part in the discussions, catch up with what everyone else has been doing all year, and find out what Reforesting Scotland is all about.

The Gathering comes to a different part of Scotland each year, usually organised by members who live nearby or have a connection to the area. Members are encouraged to come forward with suggestions for future gatherings, especially if they are willing and able to put in some organising time! There will always be backup from other members, staff and the benefit of the accumulated experience of running gatherings for all these years. Email to get involved – or keep an eye on the news page for details of this years gathering.

Local Days

Reforesting Scotland local days are always popular, but more ad hoc than the annual gatherings. They happen as and when a member decides that they’d like to organise a day for getting together with other members in their area and exploring places of interest. Wooden buildings, interesting woodlands, research projects, orchards, community woodfuel schemes – there are many great possibilities. The ‘what we do‘ section will remind you some of the many interests are shared within the Reforesting Scotland network!

As with annual gatherings, if you’d like to organise a local day just email to discuss plans with directors and we will provide whatever support we can.
