Your data is collected by Reforesting Scotland (RS).
What data is being collected?
Only the data that you give us is collected. We do not collect any data on you from third parties.
What is the legal basis for processing the data?
We will process your data where we have a contract with you (such as membership of Reforesting Scotland) or you have given us consent to do so.
Will the data be shared with any third parties?
Your data may be shared with contractors who are delivering RS projects and services. For instance names and addresses are given to the publisher of the RS Journal so that they can send out the Journal. Your data will never be sold to third parties and will never be given to third parties for the purposes of marketing.
How will the information be used?
The information will be used for the purposes for which you have given it to us. For members this will include administering your membership and membership mailings such as newsletters, Journals, fundraising appeals, notices of events and member actions. For non-members it may include event information and news.
How long will the data be stored for?
Your data will not be stored for more than five years beyond when you cease to be a member or, if you have asked to be on a mailing list which does not depend on membership, until you ask for it to be removed. Most of our mailings will include an option to unsubscribe from the relevant mailing list, or you can write to the RS Co-ordinator, whose contact details are below.
What rights do you have?
You have all the rights conferred on you by the law of Scotland. These may change from time to time.
