Our access to woodlands is restricted in so many ways: Scotland has one of the lowest lowest levels of forest cover in Europe; Scotland’s distribution of land ownership is one of the most unequal in Europe; individual people can be excluded because of physical mobility issues, mental health or other inequalities.
